QDT is adding a special object called the FileManager. Similar in concept to a Folder object, it works on actual disk files and disk directories, unlike the Folder Object which works on specific objects which may or may be linked to actual files/folders.
The FileManager will directly manipulate Files and Folders on different drive media. It includes full drag and drop of the major functions including things like copy, move, and make objects from files/folders. In addition to the drag and drop method of file movement/manipulation, it supports full drop down menu capabilities and selections.
Support for single or multiple entry selection and activity is also included.
Work is currently in progress to bring this new object class and set of capabilties to the QDT desktops.
